Conference 'Modern Methods of Network Analysis' at Sirius

From October 5 to 9, 2026, the Sirius Mathematical Center will host the conference "Modern Methods of Network Analysis." It is being organized by three HSE divisions: the Laboratory of Algorithms and Technologies for Network Analysis (LATNA), the International Center for Decision Choice and Analysis (DeCAn), and our International Laboratory for Applied Network Research (ANR-Lab).


The program committee includes Fuad Aleskerov (DeCAn Center, HSE), Valery Kalyagin (LATNA, HSE Nizhny Novgorod), and Daria Maltseva, head of our lab.

The school-conference is designed for students and young researchers interested in modern areas of network analysis: data analytics, big data processing, machine learning methods, and network-based data mining. Particular attention will be paid to optimization methods, uncertainty analysis in network analysis, and the integration of mathematical models with applied problems, drawing on graph theory, combinatorics, probability theory, and game theory.

The invited conference speakers and school lecturers are recognized international experts in this field. The format is conceived as a space for dialogue between undergraduate and graduate students and leading scientists, where young researchers will have the opportunity to master modern theoretical approaches and practical techniques in network and data analysis.

We invite young researchers, graduate students, master's students, and final-year undergraduate students to submit a paper presentation. Please note: participation in the school-conference is by invitation of the organizers; the program committee will select the submitted applications. The International Mathematical Center will provide invited participants with accommodation with breakfast at hotels in the Sirius Federal Territory.
