ANR-Lab's Year in Review
Dear colleagues, we'd like to take stock of our work over the past 12 months and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May 2026 bring you new discoveries, peace, and more reasons to celebrate, both in science and beyond!

2025 was a year of growth for ANR-Lab. We've become a truly large lab with a long list of achievements and are sharing our expertise in new formats:
- Our lab's operations have been extended until 2027, and we've also moved to the Faculty of Social Sciences! So much so that our lab office will now be located on Myasnitskaya Street!
- We've traveled to Penza, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Kazan, Tomsk, Yerevan, Paris, and even the Elbrus region for scientific and expert presentations!
- Irina Pavlova has become the head of our Master's program "Data Analytics and Social Statistics," which has successfully enrolled yet another cohort of students and, more importantly, graduated students who came to us after a short pause in recruitment!
- We held the 16-year ANR-Lab school, "Applied Network Analysis: From Concept to Project Implementation," for the first time in a long time, offline. We also developed our own continuing education course, "Networks Around Us: How to Analyze Interaction and Influence Using Network Analysis," the first cohort of which has already successfully completed!
- We participated in two cross-campus projects: "From Search to Analysis: A Complete Guide to Working with Scientific Literature" and "HSE R Meetup: Meetups in the R Programming Language," and also launched a course for Magolego, "Social Network Analysis in R."
- We registered two results of intellectual activity: "Program for Discourse Analysis of Interview Texts in Russian Using Large Language Models" and "Program for Multimodal Network Analysis of Vacancies in the Russian Labor Market," and even won a new grant from the Russian Science Foundation 🤫
- We have two new PhD candidates: Ilya Petrov joined us as part of the HSE's program to attract young postdocs, and Aryuna Kim defended her PhD thesis in the last days of December!
- The "Nodes & Links" Telegram channel has reached 1,000 subscribers, the DASS channel for applicants has garnered 300 subscribers, and our VK group is aiming for 500!
We don't plan to slow down in 2026; our plans are already booked until at least April! So follow ANR-Lab, come to our events, apply to our Master's program, order research from us, invite us to your projects, invite us to your cities, and stop by for tea on Myasnitskaya Street! We're always happy to see you!
With love, ANR-Lab 💙🧡
