ANR-Lab team members took part in the general meeting of the Big Data Research Consortium
Daria Maltseva, Ilya Petrov, and Polina Ermolaeva took part in the traditional general meeting of the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers, which took place on February 6 at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. Several other lab members, Irina Pavlova and Anna Kartasheva, participated in the event online.

The meeting agenda included the signing of agreements with new members of the Big Data Consortium, a review of 2025 projects, presentations of new initiatives, and case studies on successful university-business collaboration practices in AI and big data. In total, over 100 experts from Russian universities and businesses participated in the Big Data Consortium's general meeting, including executives and representatives of various departments at universities and research organizations, as well as leaders and experts from large companies.
The Laboratory's members also shared the results of their work for 2025. As part of the network educational project, a series of open seminars, "Network Analysis: An Introduction to a New Methodology," was held:
- What can be studied using network methodology? Introduction to network analysis (online)
- Network analysis for labor market research (online)
- Network analysis for solving practical problems (offline, expert-analytical session, Ufa)
- Bibliometric network analysis for studying trends in the development of scientific disciplines and research collaborations (hybrid format, Tomsk)
Collaboration with the Consortium resulted in the implementation of a project on the application of network analysis to labor market analysis using data from the RosNavyk platform. In 2025, the RIA "Computer Program for Multimodal Network Analysis of Vacancies in the Russian Labor Market" was registered. Thanks to the encouragement of colleagues, the Laboratory also launched and successfully delivered the continuing education course "Networks Around Us: How to Analyze Interaction and Influence Using Network Analysis Methods" (to be launched again in May 2026) and began developing and recording the online course "Introduction to Network Analysis" (due in spring 2026).
ANR-Lab's 2026 plans include a series of educational events (seminars) titled "Network Analysis for Research and Business Applications." Throughout the year, Big Data Consortium members and the Lab's audience will be able to participate in seminars on the following topics:
- Social Media Through the Lens of Network Analysis: From Data to Insights
- Team as a Network: Diagnosing Connections to Improve Performance
- How to Measure Network Effects: Assessing the Impact of Connections on Organizational Performance
- Social Capital: Visualizing and Assessing the Hidden Resources of Individuals and Organizations
Stay tuned for announcements of our events!
The Big Data Consortium (https://t.me/opendatauniversity, https://opendata.university/) was established in 2017 and today is one of the largest associations of educational institutions in the CIS in the field of big data and artificial intelligence: it unites 84 universities and research organizations from Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The association collaborates with IT companies working in the fields of Big Data, AI, digital transformation, and cybersecurity, as well as with government organizations and institutions. Consortium members, together with their partners, conduct joint research and implement projects to train next-generation personnel and develop the digital economy.
