ANR-Lab member spoke at the Arctic Readings of NArFU
Irina Pavlova, Deputy Head of the International Laboratory for Applied Network Research, presented a paper titled "Economic Determinants of Healthy Aging" at a roundtable discussion on healthy longevity at a conference at Northern (Arctic) Federal University (Arkhangelsk). The event, supported by the Potanin Foundation, brought together universities, NGOs, and social centers to discuss the Arctic economy and human capital.
From June 4–6, the All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Arctic Readings of NArFU: Man, Society, Environment" was held in Arkhangelsk at the M.V. Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Federal University. The conference was timed to coincide with the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and the Year of Culture of the Russian North.
The conference focused on the Arctic as a space not only of resources but also of meaning, identity, and human development. It is an interdisciplinary platform for discussing social and humanitarian issues related to the development of Russia's Arctic zone. The central event was the plenary discussion "Social Architecture of the Arctic: Consolidating Efforts in Developing Russia's Northern Territories." Participants addressed the formation of human capital in the Arctic, the cultural agenda of the North, the digital transformation of regions, the development of the experience economy and tourism, and the role of universities and research centers in regional development.
Irina Pavlova was invited to participate in the roundtable discussion "Healthy Longevity as an Area of Interdisciplinary Cooperation between Universities, NGOs, and Social Centers"—an event supported by the Potanin Foundation as part of the project "Interregional Expert Community for Healthy Longevity in the Region: Universities, Social Centers, and NGOs." Irina presented a report entitled "Economic Determinants of Healthy Aging."
