ANR-Lab Open Seminar "How to Collect All Publications of a Scientific Field for Free in One Click and Find a Niche in It: OpenAlex and VosViewer"

Tired of getting literature out of the clutches of paid subscriptions and spending hours searching for alternatives? And in the process of writing a review, it seems that everything has long been studied before you and there are no gaps in the discussion? At the seminar, we will share a modern no-code strategy for searching and analyzing publications when preparing a literature review.

Participants of the seminar will learn:
1. How to use the largest free OpenAlex database?
2. Why are publication metadata important and how can you use them in preparing a review?
3. How to create aesthetic and useful for analysis publication networks without knowledge of network analysis in Vosviewer?
4. What limitations should be taken into account and can we really delegate the writing of literature reviews to machines?

The seminar will be useful without experience in OpenAlex and VOSviewer, as well as to everyone who would like to expand their understanding of the algorithmic approach to creating a systematic literature review.
