ANR-Lab Open Seminar "From Letters to Sequences: Using Sequence Analysis Method for Biographical Texts"
On March 17 at 15:00, laboratory research intern Lika Kapustina will present a study on the topic "From letters to sequences: using the sequence analysis method for biographical texts."

The method of sequence analysis allows us to draw conclusions about trends in changes in the states of objects, such as changes in the states of a life path and career. Research intern Lika Kapustina of the ML PSA will introduce the audience to this method of data analysis and talk about its application in social sciences. In addition, Lika will present her technical approach to obtaining data for further use within the method: using the example of biographies of Russian judges, she will demonstrate how, using modern methods of working with text data, one can come from unstructured biographical texts to tabular data convenient for use within the method of sequence analysis.
