ANR-Lab Open Seminar "How to Use AI in Sociological Research?"

On April 28 at 15:00, Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology Sergey Davydov and Research Fellow of the ANR-Lab Anna Kartasheva will talk about the use of AI in sociological research.

AI covers various aspects of human activity, and the field of sociological research is no exception. Firstly, sociologists are mastering personal tools for working with information, allowing them to generate texts, translate them into different languages, transcribe audio recordings, etc. Secondly, new products and solutions are emerging in empirical sociology based on AI: this is the optimization of call centers, the collection and processing of high-quality information, the generation of "synthetic respondents" and much more. Using AI tools in research is like passing between Scylla and Charybdis, as many questions arise, some of which we will try to answer at our seminar.

Seminar language: Russian.
