Workshop on Introduction to Network Analysis
ANR-Lab together with the Big Data Consortium are launching a series of workshops on network analysis. The first one will take place on June 10 at 10:00 (Moscow time) and will be devoted to introduction to network analysis.
- learn about the history of the development of this field and discover why social researchers and representatives of the physical sciences did not initially collaborate;
- understand the fundamental terms and concepts of network analysis, including network density, the reciprocity of relations, and how to calculate the centrality of nodes;
- navigate the available programs for network analysis and explore their primary capabilities;
- examine examples of network graphs from various studies that are particularly relevant to network analysis, and receive recommendations for effective network visualization;
- engage in an interactive exploration of your own social networks;
- discuss how to apply network analysis in your scientific fields and applied research.
Registration is required to participate; please follow the link.
Workshop duration: two sessions of 1.5 hours each, with a 15-minute break.
