DASS Webinar "How to explore professional roles using network analysis?"

The theory of professional roles examines the expectations and norms of human behavior that manifest themselves in the process of professional activity. At the seminar, we will learn about one of the major international projects dedicated to comparing different professional roles of journalists in different countries of the world - Journalistic Roles Performance Around the Globe.

The research is based on the methodology of quantitative content analysis of news publications. The speaker of this seminar, Sergey Davydov, an analyst at ANR-Lab and Head of the Russian research group, will talk about his experience of participating in the project, the results of applying network analysis to an array of data, as well as the prospects for automating text processing.
