ANR-Lab Open Seminar "Network analysis for studying the Russian labor market"
On September 18, at 11:00 a.m. (Moscow time), the second seminar of the HSE International Laboratory for Applied Network Analysis will be held as part of a network project for the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers. HSE employees will talk about how network analysis can be used to study the labor market, and share a case study of job data analysis from the RosNavik («РосНавык») platform.

The project team – Daniil Kovalev, Irina Pavlova and Daria Maltseva – will tell the seminar participants about how the analysis of multimodal networks can be used to identify trends in the labor market, create educational programs and conduct a detailed job search.The seminar participants will have the opportunity to participate in the pilot testing of the new functionality of the RosNavyk platform for developers of training programs.The application developed by the laboratory staff allows you to:
- visualize connections between skills, specialties, regions, employers, and other variables;
- analyze data using filters (employer, skills, salary, work experience, etc.);
- search for similar nodes in the graph;
- identify the target skills needed to obtain multiple qualifications at once;
- analyze clusters of competencies;
- evaluate the value of skills by linking them to salary offers.
After that, together with the head of the RosNavyk project, Daria Dunaeva, the participants of the event will talk about the practical applicability of the results obtained for the labor market and education. We invite researchers and practitioners working with job data, developers of educational programs, and anyone interested in network analysis methodology and its practical application.
The seminar topic will be continued at the master classes "Education of the Future: designing programs together with AI" and "Networks in the labor market: new opportunities for educational programs" at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Generative Artificial Intelligence in Economic and Social sectors PRO&CONTRA 2025" on October 1-4.
