Online Open House Day of the Master's Programme 'Applied Statistics with Network Analysis'

The program was created by the leaders of the NRU HSE International Laboratory for Applied Network Research and is unique for Russia. MASNA is based on best practices of similar programs at Indiana University and University of Illinois’ in the USA, but with a special focus on networks. Strong ties with University of Ljubljana and current expansion of collaboration provide future students with a double-degree diploma. The program offers a wide variety of courses in data analysis, starting from “traditional” statistical techniques and ending with courses on natural language processing and networks. Data analysis is truly interdisciplinary, so education obtained while in the program can be applied to practically any field, both in academia and in business.

You will meet with Valentina Kuskova, the head of the ANR-Lab and academic supervisor of the program. Everybody will have an opportunity to ask questions about the program, admission process, academic mobility, or any other topics related to the program.

The master program presentation will be combined with a master-class "Introduction to Model Thinking: making sense of data". We will speak about development of the unique skills in model thinking, which allow our students and graduates to be competitive world-wide, as recent achievements demonstrate. We will also specifically focus on how MASNA education helps acquire such skills.
