In particular, network analyzes are planned for direct interactions between financial agents, such as loans and co-ownership, as well as higher-order relationships such as multi-party contracts (eg, credit default swaps) or multi-level links.

As part of this topic, it is planned to study the structure of the relationship between commercial organizations in various sectors of the economy. The purpose of the study is to identify the most sustainable and effective forms of interaction.

The PRC Political Power Network Analysis Project is designed to provide researchers with information about the careers of Chinese political leaders. As a result of the project, an interactive visualization of the careers of government members, members of the Communist Party of China, secretaries of city committees and members of parliament (NPC) will appear, as well as a network map of their relationships with each other.

For Russia, identifying different interest groups within the political elite of the PRC and the balance of their forces is critically important. The key goal in studying this issue is the well-founded and reasoned building of mutual ties that would lead to equal, mutually beneficial relations with the largest neighbor.

The use of network analysis to identify hidden social, political and economic connections within China helps to formulate more accurate and informed strategies in the development of foreign economic relations with China, and will increase the transparency and efficiency of the activities of government and commercial structures.

Lika Kapustina's research is related to judges and court decisions. As part of her term paper, Lika explores the structure of the judiciary in modern Russia and the most typical career trajectories of judges; future projects are related to Lika’s independently collected corpus of texts of decisions of the High Qualification Board of Judges and regional qualification boards of judges, containing information about the biographies of judges and qualification decisions collegiums regarding selection into the judicial profession. Joint projects with researchers outside the Laboratory – empirical legal research on judicial decisions and crime in Russia.
