ANR-Lab Seminar "Bibliometric Network Analysis for Studying Trends in Scientific Disciplines and Research Collaborations"
How can we understand the direction in which a given scientific discipline is developing? Who are the key players, and how are the research groups that shape modern science formed? Bibliometric network analysis provides answers to these questions.

We invite researchers, research assistants, academic library and analytical department staff, graduate students, undergraduates, and anyone interested in scientometrics to the fourth open seminar in the "Network Analysis: Introduction to a New Methodology" series, which will be held on December 3 by the International Laboratory for Applied Network Research (HSE University) for the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers and participants of the School of Applied Data Analysis.
Laboratory team members Daria Maltseva and Irina Pavlova will discuss bibliometric analysis and the data it uses, how maps of scientific disciplines and intellectual structures are constructed and interpreted, and how development trends and key researchers in various subject areas are identified. Participants will review real-world research examples, learn about popular software solutions for bibliometric network analysis, and gain skills in using the Biblioshiny program.
The seminar will be the opening workshop of the School of Applied Data Analysis, which will be held in person in Tomsk from December 4th to 6th, and then online until December 23rd, 2025. Detailed information is available on the school's website.
