ANT-Lab members at the Sunbelt 2025 conference in Paris

The annual Sunbelt Conference was held in Paris, France, from 23 to 29 June. Sunbelt is the largest international conference on social network analysis organized by the International Association for Social Network Analysis (INSNA).

The Sunbelt Conference traditionally gathers researchers, teachers and practitioners from different countries to discuss the latest achievements, methods and applications in the field of network analysis. Sunbelt is a unique platform for sharing experiences, presenting your own research, and establishing professional contacts.

This year, the International Laboratory for Applied Network Analysis (ANR-Lab) was represented at the conference by several employees at once. Daria Maltseva, PhD in Sociology, head of the International Laboratory for Applied Network Analysis, and Apollinaria Ermolaeva, a research intern at the laboratory, spoke in person in Paris. Daria Maltseva presented her topic on "AI-Assisted Tools in Bibliometric Network Analysis", and Apollinaria Ermolaeva presented the topics "Network dynamics and adolescent risk behavior: the case of Russian vocational schools" and "Interethnic Relations in Schools with Different Ethnic Composition".

The following speakers also made presentations at the conference in an online format:

  • Pavlova Irina, PhD in Economics, Deputy Head of the Laboratory, Senior Researcher at the International Laboratory for Applied Network Analysis, with a presentation on "Developments in wellbeing studies through a prism of the bibliometric network analysis";
  • Kim Aryuna, an intern researcher at the ANR-Lab with the report "Adaptation of migrant young mothers: case of Russian migrants after February 2022";
  • Daniil Mikhailenko, a student of Natalia Matveeva, a researcher at the ANR-Lab, gave a presentation on "International trade in small Post-Soviet countries: which factors determine it?".
