A Russian postdoc has joined ANR-Lab.

The 2025 competition for Russian postdocs to participate in research projects at the Higher School of Economics concluded in July. Sixty specialists began working at the university on September 1. One of the selected postdocs, Ilya Vladimirovich Petrov, joined the ANR-Lab team.

The HSE Postdoc Program is designed to support young researchers who have earned their PhD or Candidate of Sciences degrees from Russian and international universities. It allows scientists to focus on their research in close collaboration with leading HSE research groups. Participants have the opportunity to develop their projects, publish in leading scientific journals, participate in international conferences, and integrate into the academic community.

In May, Ilya Vladimirovich defended his PhD dissertation on 'Models for Controlling Structural Characteristics of Interaction in Games on Linear Best-Response Networks' at the Russian Academy of Sciences. Ilya Vladimirovich has experience working in the Complex Networks and Active Systems Laboratories of the V.A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where he worked on control problems in game-theoretic models on networks, as well as on the development of an information system for analyzing scientific activity.

At ANR-Lab, Ilya Vladimirovich will be developing the field of modeling and forecasting changes using advanced statistical analysis methods in the study of socio-economic processes.

We are pleased to welcome our new colleague and look forward to fruitful collaboration!
