ANR-Lab members at the conference for the 50th anniversary of the journal 'Socis'
ANR-Lab members Sergey Davydov and Daria Osokina took part in the Scientific Conference 'Sociology: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow' dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the journal 'Sociological Research', which took place on October 21-23 in Moscow.
During the conference, researchers discussed the past, present and future of Russian sociology, including answering the questions:
- How does sociology respond to the changes taking place in the country?
- How can its reflection be useful to society?
- Are its language, methods and tools adequate?
- What theoretical directions and concepts are relevant?
Sergey Davydov spoke in the section 'Digitalization, mediatization, media communication in the space of sociological knowledge' with a report 'Dynamics of the Russian audience of social media in 2022-2023.'
Daria Osokina presented a report in the section 'Political sociology: between ideology and episteme' on the topic: 'Adaptation of gender contracts of families of mobilized persons against the background of militarization.'
The first conference outside of HSE is an incredibly exciting event, and presenting your own research to people whose names you know from textbooks is even more frightening! But I was worried in vain, because I met young researchers from other regions and got great pleasure from discussing my work with more experienced colleagues, which helped me outline the direction of my future research.
