On August 6, as part of the V International Scientific Conference 'Interaction. Integration. Inclusion: from reflection to action', a section 'From nodes to connections: network analysis of integration in science and education' was held, organized by the International Laboratory of Applied Network Research.

The section was chaired by laboratory members Daria Maltseva, Natalia Matveeva and Anton Sizov. The section featured 13 reports. The laboratory's reports were presented by Anna Kartasheva, Anton Sizov, Artem Oganyan, Egor Perekhozhev, Daria Maltseva, Irina Pavlova, Polina Ermolaeva and Mikhail Meshkov.

The ANR-Lab section 'From Nodes to Links: Network Analysis of Integration in Science and Education' consisted of three subsections:

Subsection 1. Integration in Education

Anna Kartasheva presented an overview of student community research from the perspective of network analysis, focusing on the phenomenon of polarization and strategies for overcoming it. Continuing the topic, Anton Sizov presented a longitudinal study of student networks of friendship, mutual assistance, trust and emotional support, linking them with academic performance. Polina Ermolaeva shared the results of a study on interethnic relations in Russian schools. Elena Kolesnikova and Alena Cherevkova showed how school teachers become a key agent in students' career guidance. Artem Oganyan, in collaboration with Inna Feliksovna Devyatko, presented an experimental study of the influence of social hierarchy on students' moral attitudes.

Subsection 2. Integration in Science: Teams

Elena Stegnii proposed a model for assessing the effectiveness of scientific teams, combining result-based, process-based and contextual parameters with network analysis methods. Anton Sizov, Roman Moiseev and Elizaveta Shupyatskaya presented a report on institutional mechanisms for the formation of scientific teams and their internal formal and informal hierarchies (using biologists and sociologists as examples). Artem Remchukov, Varvara Babenko, Damir Davletov and Arseniy Kalashnikov shared the results of a study of interactions between participants of the Vectors 2025 conference. Egor Perekhozhev presented the results of a study of automatic network analysis of biographical interviews with first-generation sociologists.

Subsection 3. Integration in Science: Key Actors

The topics of institutional and infrastructural integration were continued by Roman Karikh with an overview of the processes of institutionalization of open science in Russia and Ilya Petrov, who presented a report on the contribution of scientific publishers to the formation of publication activity through a citation network. Konstantin Gavrilov shared the results of bibliometric mapping of the conceptual landscape of the political crisis. Daria Maltseva, Irina Pavlova and Mikhail Meshkov presented a bibliometric network analysis of publications of the Journal of Social Policy Studies, which allows us to reveal the role of the publication as a communications platform.
