Laboratory team presented a report at Science Day at SberUniversity.

Science and business came together at the same table on September 25 at the SberUniversity campus. Sber's Corporate University organized Science Day "Organization & People" for researchers from various fields and universities. Research teams demonstrated their expertise and discussed promising problems with business clients that could be solved using their proposed methods. Read our report on the event.

The event was opened by Alexey Sukhanov, Vice Rector for Research at SberUniversity.

The science presentation session was opened by Alexander Asmolov (Distinguished Professor at Moscow State University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, and SberUniversity) with a presentation on the "Usefulness of the Useless" principle as a value guide and human-centeredness in SberUniversity research. The next speaker was Nikita Loginov (RANEPA), who discussed the phenomenon of insight: what modern science knows about it and how it can be useful. Anton Suvorov (NES) concluded this section with a presentation on economics and human behavior in recent NES research.

After the break, Daria Maltseva and Anna Kartasheva (HSE University) presented their report. Their presentation on network analytics for trend analysis and team management generated genuine interest and questions from those in attendance.

Olga Abramova (HSE University) next presented the concepts of technocentricity and human-centricity. Her report focused on the ethical dilemmas facing Russian IT leaders. Georgy Ovchinnikov (Skoltech) concluded this section with a presentation on a data-centric view of the behavior of populations and groups.

After lunch, business clients presented three business cases from Sber. Alexey Sukhanov posed the question: are there "hidden talents" and how can they be uncovered? Petr Dubinin focused on how to create an AI leader without losing them. Andrey Balles discussed "poisoned data" and priority data technologies for a human-centric organization.

Following the business presentations, a mastermind session was held. Science Day participants were divided into three teams to work in groups and find solutions to the proposed cases. Other members of the HSE Faculty of Social Sciences also took part in the event, including DASS Master's program instructors Ilya Petrov, who recently joined the Laboratory, and LSES researcher Stanislav Pashkov.
