Employees of International Laboratory for Applied Network Research (ANR-Lab) spoke about network analysis methodology to the participants of HSE Academic Talent Pool

The workshop is realized in the format of "Academic Workshop": experts in their fields present their research areas and methodologies to other participants of the Vyshka Talent Pool community.

Daria Maltseva, head of the laboratory (a graduate of the Academic Talent Pool program at HSE), spoke about the basic concepts of network analysis, and Irina Pavlova, senior researcher (a participant of the Administrative Talent Pool program), gave an overview of the main tools for visualizing and working with networks.

The workshop was interactive: ATP participants shared the addresses of Telegram channels of their departments, and Lika Kapustina (participant of the Academic Talent Pool program), a trainee researcher of the Laboratory, built citation networks for the voiced channels and advised on what to pay attention to when visually analyzing the resulting citation networks of Telegram channels to improve the media performance of the channels of the departments.

The participants of the event noted their pleasant impressions from the workshop and showed interest in the networks built right during the presentation. And if you want to learn more about network analysis or get acquainted with networks built on real (and if you want - your public) data - come to ANR-Lab and DASS (ex. MASNA) events.
