First ANR-Lab seminar in 2019

On January 14, the first ANR-Lab seminar in 2019 was held, where prof. Fuad Aleskerov has presented  the work of his research team. 

The report of Fuad Aleskerov, Head of the International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis on the topic “New Centrality Measures in Networks and their Application”, attracted the attention of not only laboratory members and students of the educational program “Applied Statistics with Network Analysis”, but also external participants.

Authors propose new centrality measures taking into account parameters of vertices of a network, an influence of groups of vertices to a vertex, and short- and long-range influence of paths on a vertex. In addition to the methodological details, many applications were discussed – in conflict networks, migration, foreign claims, citation networks, etc. The recording of the seminar can be watched at the ANR-Lab Facebook page: part 1 and part 2.
