Influence of artificial intelligence on education

Employees of ANR-Lab Sergey Davydov and Nataliya Matveeva took part in the study titled 'Influence of artificial intelligence on education' ('Digital economy').

Influence of artificial intelligence on education

The best practices for implementing AI in education are presented and five main tasks are identified that require the development of approaches to their solution at the regulatory level:

  1. Confidentiality and protection of personal data – how to reduce the risks of unauthorized access and use of student and teacher data collected by AI solutions.
  2. The problem of possible bias in AI systems is a problem that can arise if AI is trained on a narrow set of data that takes into account the characteristics of certain groups/situations.
  3. The problem of the relationship between man and machine – schoolchildren and students may change their perception of 'living', and this can lead to limitations in the development of emotional intelligence.
  4. The impact of AI on the cognitive abilities of students – is it possible and, if so, what measures to take.
  5. Rights to the results of intellectual activity when students use AI – who owns them and how to evaluate them.

The results of the study will be presented at the DASS Online Master's Open Day on March 4.
