This season, three members of the International Laboratory for Applied Network Research — research assistants Polina Ermolaeva, Mikhail Meshkov, and Anton Sizov — defended their final qualification theses. All received the grade "Excellent."

On May 13–14, 2026, the XVI International Conference on Network Analysis (NET-2026) was held in a hybrid format in Nizhny Novgorod, where ANR-Lab's researchers Irina Pavlova and Natalia Matveeva presented their studies.

ANR-lab is now accepting applications for the second cohort of its advanced training program, "Networks Around Us: Analyzing Interactions and Influences Using Network Analysis." Participants will be able to master network analysis methodology in just one month for use in their research projects.

ANR-Lab member wins Student Research Paper Competition
On February 11, the awards ceremony for the 2025 Student Research Paper Competition took place. ANR-Lab research assistant Polina Ermolaeva took second place in the category "Best Research Paper in Sociology for Master's Students and Graduates of the Class of 2025."

ANR-Lab team members took part in the general meeting of the Big Data Research Consortium
Daria Maltseva, Ilya Petrov, and Polina Ermolaeva took part in the traditional general meeting of the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers, which took place on February 6 at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. Several other lab members, Irina Pavlova and Anna Kartasheva, participated in the event online.

ANR-Lab became part of the Faculty of Social Sciences at HSE
In 2025, the International Laboratory for Applied Network Research became part of the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, and in 2026, it continued work on the project 'The Diversity of Forms, Effects, and Barriers to Integration of Contemporary Russian Society in Synchronic and Diachronic Dimensions.'
