On June 16–17, students of the Data Analytics and Social Statistics master's program defended their final theses. The State Examination Committee heard 22 theses.

This season, three members of the International Laboratory for Applied Network Research — research assistants Polina Ermolaeva, Mikhail Meshkov, and Anton Sizov — defended their final qualification theses. All received the grade "Excellent."
Anton Sizov spoke at the Faculty of Social Sciences scientific seminar
On November 27, the HSE Moscow campus hosted the Faculty of Social Science research seminar 'Between Scylla and Charybdis: What Determines Russians' Attitudes Toward Personal Data Collection?' The seminar presented the research findings of the initial project group 'Trust and Attitudes toward Government Electronic Services and Data Collection Technologies.' ANR-Lab research assistant Anton Sizov actively participated in the group's research and presentation.

Three ANR-Lab research assistants successfully defended their final qualification theses in the master's degree programs "Sociology of the Public Sphere and Digital Analytics" (Olga Molotkova, Daniil Kovalev) and "Applied Political Science" (Lika Kapustina).

Research assistant position at ANR-Lab
As part of the additional recruitment campaign for HSE students and postgraduates, the ANR-Lab has an open position for a research intern (1 place for a bachelor's or master's student and 2 places for postgraduate students). The application deadline is March 12.
Our colleagues are the winners of the Student research paper competition 2024
ANR-Lab research assistant Daria Osokina and intern Polina Ermolaeva became the winners of the competition for the best student research paper of 2024, taking 2nd and 3rd places, respectively, in the nomination 'Best research paper in sociology for master's students and graduates of 2024'.
Meetup 'Local Meetings and Global Connections'
On November 9, a hybrid meetup was held by the International Laboratory for Applied Network Research (ANR-Lab) and the Master's programme 'Data Analytics and Social Statistics' (DASS). The event brought together students and graduates of the DASS (ex-MASNA) master's programme, team and friends of the laboratory to discuss how the programme is doing and what opportunities for collaboration exist.
