
Networks, Morality, and Social Connections: How Lab Researchers Presented Their Research at the HSE April Conference
From April 14 to 17, the Higher School of Economics hosted the 26th April International Academic Conference named after E.G. Yasin. This traditionally large-scale event brought together nearly 400 researchers from Russia and international universities, offering 95 sessions and 28 roundtable discussions on economics, sociology, management, and related disciplines. Researchers from the International Laboratory for Applied Network Research also presented their findings within this diverse scientific program.

Russia-Africa: A Strategy for Developing Cooperation Networks
On March 27, MGIMO hosted the Second Interuniversity Championship on Russian International Transport Corridors, "Russia-Africa Hub: Assembly Point," which was attended by representatives of the Interuniversity Laboratory of Applied Network Analysis and the Master's Program in Data Analytics and Social Statistics.

The Laboratory for Applied Network Research joined the development of images of the future at the Grushin Conference
As part of the conference, laboratory analyst Sergey Davydov supervised a series of events united by the topic of artificial intelligence, and junior research fellow Artem Oganyan's report on moral disengagement was awarded a grant from the Future Research Foundation.

ANR-Lab members received a letter of gratitude from the Rector of Ivanovo State University
On March 5, 2026, Daria Maltseva, Head of the ANR-Lab, and Irina Pavlova, Deputy Head of the Laboratory, spoke at the open scientific seminar "Networks in Science: Analysis of Co-authorship and Scientific Communities in the Digital Age" at the Digital Humanities Laboratory of Ivanovo State University as part of their collaboration with the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers.

ANR-Lab member wins Student Research Paper Competition
On February 11, the awards ceremony for the 2025 Student Research Paper Competition took place. ANR-Lab research assistant Polina Ermolaeva took second place in the category "Best Research Paper in Sociology for Master's Students and Graduates of the Class of 2025."

ANR-Lab team members took part in the general meeting of the Big Data Research Consortium
Daria Maltseva, Ilya Petrov, and Polina Ermolaeva took part in the traditional general meeting of the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers, which took place on February 6 at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. Several other lab members, Irina Pavlova and Anna Kartasheva, participated in the event online.

Research Fellow position at ANR-Lab (Russian Postdoc Program)
HSE University currently have an open competition for the Program to Attract Russian Postdocs. As part of the competition, a vacancy for postdocs (research fellow) is open in the division 'International Laboratory for Applied Network Research' (ANR Lab) for the project 'Network analysis of institutional structure and integration processes in Russian society'.

ANR-Lab member wins Young Researcher Award
n 2025, the International Laboratory of Game Theory and Decision Making, together with the HSE Laboratory of Complex Networks, Hypergraphs, and Their Applications, established an award for young researchers for advances in solving theoretical and practical problems in complex networks. One of the award recipients was Ilya Petrov, a laboratory research fellow.

The ANR-Lab team registered the intellectual rights for the 'Program for multimodal network analysis of vacancies in the Russian labor market.'
The authors of the program are Daniil Kovalev, Irina Pavlova, and Daria Maltseva, members of the International Laboratory of Applied Network Research.

Anton Sizov spoke at the Faculty of Social Sciences scientific seminar
On November 27, the HSE Moscow campus hosted the Faculty of Social Science research seminar 'Between Scylla and Charybdis: What Determines Russians' Attitudes Toward Personal Data Collection?' The seminar presented the research findings of the initial project group 'Trust and Attitudes toward Government Electronic Services and Data Collection Technologies.' ANR-Lab research assistant Anton Sizov actively participated in the group's research and presentation.
